Discover the Power of ComMusicate™️
ComMusicate™️ was born from the passion of experienced musician and music therapist Noreen Donnell (MMT, MTA, RP). Designed to serve as a music therapy resource for music therapists, speech-language pathologists, parents, and educators, the manual features an online manual and extensive musical activity database.
Meet Noreen
Noreen Donnell’s passion for music began as a child. At the tender age of 8, Noreen’s mother asked if she would like to take piano lessons. Noreen answered, “No thanks” to which her (wise) mother replied, “Good, you start Monday!”, and piano quickly became more than just a hobby.
Fast forward many years later, Noreen had the opportunity to discover the field of music therapy. She holds both Bachelor and Master degrees of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, is a certified music therapist, and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. An avid composer, Noreen loves to create music for a variety of purposes. She is a member of the Songwriters Association of Canada, the Ontario Music Therapy Association, and the Canadian Association for Music Therapists.
In her 25+ years of working with children, she’s had the opportunity to connect with, and learn from colleagues and professionals in related professions, including many very talented and skilled Speech and Language Pathologists.
Noreen found that the connection between music and speech therapy is an extremely powerful one, and that connection motivated her to create ComMusicate™️.
